As you mentioned about resonance (someone said hollow sounding), I believe you referred to r1.1. AS-2 does not have that kind of sound signature.

Second, AS-2 sounds more similar to ASG-1 r1.2 than r1.1 but I won't say AS-2 is just a result of adding a level of sparkling to ASG-1. It is because AS-2 has a different housing and the driver has been modified too. At least, to me, AS-2 & ASG-1 do not share the same bass response.

Third, as far as I know, ASG-2 comes with a new shape. The ASG-1 shells are no longer used.
Sopphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01461470973491137693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16292829.post-53372285599729945292013-05-03T09:37:19.893-05:002013-05-03T09:37:19.893-05:00Thanks for the nice review!

Does it mean that the resonance / bubble in the head sound is gone? I really dislike the ASG1 because of that.

My feeling is that AS2 / ASG-2 is simply ASG-1 + some sparkles on the top. Am I right? Dale said he padded down the tweeters, so the sound signature might be dominated by the ASG-1 dynamics...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
